Our 
Story

We launched Upper Hand Theatre in 2023 to coincide with our inaugural production of 'Colder Than Here' by Laura Wade. We produced this show with Laura Fitzpatrick and the revival was staged at the Jack Studio Theatre in September 2023. 

As women in theatre, we are acutely aware of the lack of opportunities for us in theatre and decided to start making our own! We are working hard to provide opportunities for women in theatre, on and off the stage. 

Did you know: 70% of theatre audiences are female identifying yet the percentage of representation across onstage and backstage roles is devastatingly low.
